Equities chock record as Irma weakens, $ gains

The $ gained When gold prices fell, as did prices of benchmark German & united states Treasury debt.

Ranked as 1 of the generality strong hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic, Irma chock a wide swath of Florida on Sunday.
The S&P 500 gained 26.68 points, or 1.08 percent, to 2,488.11 & the Nasdaq Composite added 72.07 points, or 1.13 percent, to 6,432.26.
Shares of unite states & Eu insurers rose, by companies particularly exposed to Florida posting sharp gains as the losses from Irma were seen as less severe than feared.
Shares of Florida insurers Heritage Insurance Holdings Inc HCI Group Inc & global Insurance Holdings Inc all rose at least 13 % or more.

GLOBAL MARKETS-Equities chock record as Irma weakens, $ gains

Shares on Wall Street jumped about one percent, by the benchmark S&P 500 index less than two-tenths of a percentage point away from record territory.
Shares of Florida insurers Heritage Insurance Holdings Inc <HRTG.N,> HCI Group Inc & Universal Insurance Holdings Inc all rose about 14 percent.
The pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 index rose 1.05 % to lock at 1,491.19 & MSCI’s gauge of universal stocks gained 0.81 percent.
MSCI’s developing markets index rose 0.67 percent.
The euro fell 0.57 % to $1.1963 against the greenback, When the ¥ weakened 1.36 % at 109.30 per dollar.

Shares of unite states & Eu insurers rose, with companies particularly exposed to Florida posting sharp gains as the losses from Irma were seen as less severe than feared.
Shares of Florida insurers Heritage Insurance Holdings Inc (HRTG.N,) HCI Group Inc (HCI.N) & global Insurance Holdings Inc (UVE.N) all rose at least 13 % or more.
