Missouri’s economic development director hopeful around economic development efforts

City & province leaders sounded off about their worries during the joint meeting Thursday night.
Since its creation in 2011, EDGE told it has brought almost 17,000 jobs to Memphis & Shelby County.
Of the 11, 9 are polling board members along by 1 non-voting member from both the Memphis town Council & the Shelby province Commission.

Calley campaign chief turns drop Flint economic development job

Brian Calley’s 2018 gubernatorial run has declined an offer to lead Flint’s economic development team.
A Flint town spokesperson can not immediately be reached for comment on Gibb’s departure.
On Monday, Feb. 26, the Flint town Council voted 5-1 to confirm Gibb’s consulting licence by the city.
He was foreseen to “assist the town in defining a pathway to a comprehensive plan,” & provide strategic planning & development readiness, asset understanding of society engagement, economic development identity & programme development, post-water problem opportunities & workforce development & talent, according to the agreement.
$3 mn grant going to be used to hire economic development team for Flint Weaver declared plans to hire an economic development team by the Kellogg Foundation’s $2,957,800 four-year grant to Flint during a press conference on Monday, Feb. 19.
