The viral event will undoubtedly keep Future’s album sales robust, as the self-titled LP and its follow-up, HNDRXX, both debuted at #1 in back-to-back releases.
Future’s “Mask Off” Goes Gold
referring to The Recording Industry Association of America confirmed that on March 30, Future’s “Mask Off” had sold at least 500,000 units.
The Metro Boomin-produced banger that inspired a viral challenge has just gone gold.
One of the most memorable songs off the Future LP, “Mask Off” dropped on February 17.
Both Future and HNDRXX earned back-to-back number 1 debuts in successive weeks on the Billboard 200 chart, an unprecedented feat.
Only The Beatles, Herb Alpert and The Monkees have managed to replace themselves at the top spot.
